Developer Ninja Theory has officially announced on their Twitter that the sleeper hit
Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice will be released on Nintendo Switch next week, on April 11, 2019, to be exact.
While the fact that Switch users will finally have a chance to play this mesmerizing experience is a great news no matter how you look at it, it will only be available digitally, which may be a major bummer for some players. In hindsight, the Switch port will be officially priced at £24.99 / €29.99 / $29.99.
Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice was initially released in 2017 on PC and PlayStation 4 before coming to Xbox One last year. The title has already sold well over one million copies around the world, and the upcoming Switch version of the title should boost its overall sales nicely, allowing the renowned developer to create even more complex, memorable and original video games in the future.
As a reminder, Ninja Theory is now part of the Microsoft Studios team alongside 343 Industries, The Coalition, The Initiative, inXile Entertainment, Compulsion Games, Mojang, Obsidian Entertainment, Playground Games, Rare, Turn 10 Studios, Undead Labs and Microsoft's Global Publishing group.
From the makers of Heavenly Sword, Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, and DmC: Devil May Cry, comes a warrior’s brutal journey into myth and madness. Set in the Viking age, a broken Celtic warrior embarks on a haunting vision quest into Viking Hell to fight for the soul of her dead lover. Created in collaboration with neuroscientists and people who experience psychosis, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice will pull you deep into Senua’s mind.
Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice is currently available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC; coming to Nintendo Switch on April 11th.
