Playdead's critically acclaimed puzzle-adventure horror games
Limbo and
Inside are finally making their way into the Nintendo Switch as reported by Japanese game magazine Famitsu—who have also released official trailers for both games—and they will be available on the Nintendo eShop.
While the news was reported by Famitsu, we had no word from Playdead but they soon confirmed via Twitter that
Limbo and
Inside are getting a worldwide release on the
28th of June. It was not confirmed whether these games will be sold separately or bundled together. Both of these games have been bundled in the past in the
Playdead Adventure Pack so there is a chance they will be bundled on the Switch, as well.
Limbo and Inside are very similar games that feature puzzle elements in dark, and disturbing areas full of an atmosphere only seen in nightmares. In both games players control an unnamed boy going through surreal environments full of hazards that will threaten their lives.
Given the games' difficulty, players will find themselves dying a lot—which is actually part of the games' learning curves—and continuing from the last checkpoint. That's probably another great thing about these games: checkpoints are abundant and very generous so it never feels like they are being unfair. Now, players will be able to take these awesome titles on-the-go when the games release on the Nintendo Switch eShop next week.
Limbo and Inside will be available for the Nintendo Switch on the 28th of June.
