The first expansion pack for Nintendo Switch's Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield is called Isle of Armor and will be with fans later this month. Check out the latest trailer and all of the details below!

A new trailer has just been released in regards to GameFreak and Nintendo's 2019 juggernaut titles Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield. The video shows off features and what to expect from the two upcoming expansion packs for the titles, Isle of Armor and The Crown Tundra.

It should come as no surprise to gamers that downloadable content is coming as the titles have received unrivaled popularity since their release. Nintendo even revealed that the games combined for the highest-grossing launch the series has seen to date. More than 6 million copies of Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield have been shipped worldwide, with 2 million of those sold in the United States. 

The first expansion pack is launching in less than two weeks, dropping on June 17th. Isle of Armor comes with new pocket monsters to capture and all-new Gigantamax evolutions -- including Venusaur and Blastoise from Generation I.
