This fall, when the first portion of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC makes its way to Nintendo Switch, the world of Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet will be getting set to expand, and it will be bringing some new Pokémon with it. The most recent thing to be hinted at is a mysterious new Pokémon that just recently made an appearance in the Japanese broadcast of Pokémon Horizons: The Series, the new anime series that will make its debut in the rest of the world later on this year. This is the newest thing to be teased.
Although it has been said that this new Pokémon is "reminiscent of the Legendary Pokémon Terapagos," both the name and the exact nature of this Pokémon are still a mystery. Crystallizing the energy within its body allows it to produce a defensive barrier, despite the fact that it is neither especially large nor particularly powerful. It is also able to retract its heads, limbs, and tail within its shell in order to assume a sleeping form that makes it look like a diamond when it perceives that its life is in danger.

About Pokémon Horizons: The Series:
The recent premiere of “Pokémon Horizons: The Series” in Japan offered a sneak peek at the newly discovered Pokémon. In the animated series, Liko, one of the protagonists, carries a mysterious pendant that is seen transforming into this Pokémon. The Pokémon then reverts immediately after it protects Liko from danger.
Debuting outside Japan starting in 2023, “Pokémon Horizons: The Series” is a new Pokémon animated series that will follow a never-before-seen storyline and characters, including dual protagonists Liko and Roy, as they uncover various mysteries of the Pokémon world, such as the fascinating secrets surrounding this newly discovered Pokémon.
