Sega Genesis Classics is a compilation of games that features 50 of the most iconic titles from series developed by Sega. The game was originally announced in March for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC—which ended up releasing in May of this year.
A Nintendo Switch version of
Sega Genesis Classics was announced back in September, which includes the same 50 classic titles featured in other versions of the game. One thing that the Nintendo Switch version is adding, though, is a new Rewind feature that will help players get past some unforgiving sections with the press of a button; much like the Rewind feature added to the Nintendo Switch version of Capcom's
Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 + 2.
Among some of the games that players should expect to find in this collection, we have iconic titles like the classic
Sonic the Hedgehog 2,
Altered Beast,
Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle,
Golden Axe,
Streets of Rage, and
Virtua Fighter 2. Players will now be able to take all of these amazing titles on-the-go as
Sega Genesis CoClassicsllection will finally become available on the Nintendo Switch
tomorrow; and Sega has released a brand-new trailer that features some of the main characters from the games included in this collection.
