Super Mario Party has just become available for the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo has released a new video that goes over the new game modes, as well as showing off some of the 80 brand new minigames that will likely end a few friendships.

We have known for a while that Super Mario Party will be making heavy use of the Joy-Cons, much like Nintendo's other party game: 1-2-Switch. The only downside to this is that the game will not be able to be played in handheld mode, neither is it compatible with the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller.

Today, Nintendo has released a new overview trailer that introduces us to the game's new modes such as Sound Stage, Toad's Rec Room, the original Mario Party Board Game Mode, 2-on-2 Partner Party, Challenge Road, Online Mariothon, and River Survival Mode—which is the first ever co-op mode in the series; where players will need to collaborate in order to win instead of facing each other.

Take a look:

The Mario Party™ series is coming to the Nintendo Switch™ system with super-charged fun for everyone! The original board game style has been kicked up a notch with deeper strategic elements, like specific Dice Blocks for each character.

Super Mario Party is available for the Nintendo Switch today.
