Bad North is a real-time tactical game developed by Plausible Concept and published by Raw Fury coming out for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC. The Nintendo Switch version of the game has just become available
today, while the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions are coming out on the
28th of August—PC release date is expected later this year.
The concept in
Bad North is simple: protect your island against a horde of Viking invaders by commanding your loyal followers to take tactical advantage of the island. Islands in the game are all procedurally generated so no invasion will be played out exactly the same, challenging players to rethink their strategies every time.
The minimalistic art style used in
Bad North gives us a sense of calm that will soon be tainted with your enemies' blood or, in the worst case scenario, the blood of your brethren—making for a charmingly brutal game that will remind players that regardless of the game's appearance, it is still about fighting to survive.
