Sensor Tower, a company that specializes in the global mobile application economy, released their findings yesterday that since it's nearly year and a half on the market, Nintendo's Fire Emblem Heroes, has amassed more than $400 Million. This follows the research that the game surpassed the $300 Million mark around one year after its release, so the game still has a very healthy economy.
While Nintendo does have two other games tied to their development teams, Super Mario Run and Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, the total revenue of these two games does not come close to matching the hit strategy turn-based RPG as shown by the chart below from Sensor Tower:
Their research also says that a majority of the revenue for
Fire Emblem Heroes comes from the Google Play Store at 52%, while the iOS App Store covers the last 48%. Their playerbase is mostly from Japan, sitting at 56%, while the US makes up 31% of the remaining base.
Fire Emblem Heroes is a free-to-play strategy RPG game based off Nintendo's famed
Fire Emblem series where players must control up to four characters and move them around a grid and use the correct character to type to gain advantages in battle, and ultimately complete each map without casualties. The game was released in February of 2017, and is available for iOS and Android devices.
