During a recent interview with Wccftech,
No More Heroes series creator Goichi Suda — more commonly known by fans as Suda51 — has recently revealed some interesting details about the development of the highly anticipated
No More Heroes III.
First things first — and according to Suda himself —
No More Heroes III is "
currently about 35 to 40 percent complete", which is something that should make fans of the series quite happy. We do not yet know exactly when the game will release, but it is expected to launch at some point
in 2020.
When it comes to the game itself, Suda confirms that
No More Heroes III will be featuring an open world, although he advises fans not to expect something in the likes of major titles from bigger developers like Ubisoft or Rockstar Games.
"
It will definitely be a bigger open world than the original No More Heroes," Suda explains, "
but you have to remember that we’re a middle-class studio in terms of size. It takes a lot of skills, wisdom, and resources to make an open-world game, so it won't be as big as something you see from huge companies like Ubisoft or Rockstar."
As a follow-up to his comments on the game's open world, Suda also reveals that the game will feature "
about the amount of side-missions you'd expect from a No More Heroes game, along with some other extras as well," so players should expect the experience to be a similar one to that seen in previous titles.
With
No More Heroes III currently being about a 40% complete, it is safe to say that the game will be launching at some point in the second half of the year. Still, the fact that they are already making it a bigger game than its predecessors is obviously a great sign; even if it takes them a little longer to develop.
No More Heroes III will be available for the Nintendo Switch in 2020.
