Yesterday Nintendo surprised us all by announcing Paper Mario: The Origami King, completely out of the blue, and revealing that the game will be launching exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on the 17th of July — which is only a couple of months from today.
The surprising announcement also confirmed the rumours that claimed that a brand-new Paper Mario game was in the works — leaving players wondering if the 3D Super Mario games are also about to be revealed by the Japanese company. Whatever the case, this was great news for fans of the Paper Mario series.
Paper Mario: The Origami King may have surprised fans, but fans agree on gameplay being the deciding factor here. Nintendo will likely reveal more details about the recently announced title rather sooner than later, so we should keep our eyes peeled for more information.
While Nintendo still has to reveal gameplay of the game, they did decide to give fans a little something extra, and today they revealed the charming box art for Paper Mario: The Origami King. The developer also revealed the game's size, which will require a massive 6.5 GB of space.
This may be almost a requirement these days, but Nintendo also revealed that Paper Mario: The Origami King will be available in a wide variety of languages, including Japanese, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Korean, Dutch, Chinese, English.
As a friendly reminder, be sure to open the box art for Paper Mario: The Origami King on a new tab, so you can enjoy it in glorious high definition; plus, the image is actually quite massive.
