Starbreeze studios and Overkill have announced that their bank heist multiplayer game, Payday 2, will be making it way to The Switch on February 23rd 2018 in Europe, and February 27th in the U.S.

The developers aim to bring it's unique style of co-op gameplay which sees you take the role of one of 17 gang members as you pull off the perfect heist. There is a single player element but there is a clear focus on multiplayer. You can play with four friends as the jobs becoming bigger and more rewarding. An example of this is robbing small jewellary stores before eventually escalating to hitting convoys of security trucks.

The game is sure to bring a lot of traction for multiplayer games to the switch and hopefully other developers will follow suit. It also gives players the opportunity to jump into a more adult orientated experience on the family friendly console.

What do you guys think? Are you excited to play PayDay 2 on Switch?
