Astral Chain is one of PlatinumGames' newest intellectual properties, which became available in August of last year as a Nintendo Switch exclusive; a game that brings elements from other PlatinumGames-developed titlesl like NieR: Automata and Bayonetta.

The PlatinumGames-developed Nintendo Switch-exclusive title also got a lot of attention after it released, as salty players decided to review-bomb Astral Chain for the sole fact that it was not releasing on other consoles. Proper reviewers, however, praised the game; currently with a well-deserved 87/100 on review aggregator site Metacritic.

In spite of the review-bombing the game has actually exceeded expectations, as PlatinumGames' Takahisa Taura — the game's director — has recently revealed that "Thankfully, Astral Chain has sold above expectations," which is great news for both the studio and players; considering that this is also a great way to start a franchise.

Astral Chain is a new action game from PlatinumGames, the creators of the Bayonetta™ series. As part of a police special forces unit in a multi-cultural futuristic city, players work together with a humanoid special weapon, Legion, in a synergetic action system of battle and exploration.

Astral Chain is currently available exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
