DOOM on Nintendo Switch will be released sometime during this year’s holiday season on the Nintendo eShop and with a physical release. The physical release will not include the multiplayer portion on the game card that will have to be downloaded separately from the Nintendo eShop due to the size limitations of the game cards. The Nintendo eShop version of the game will include both portions as there are no size limitations.
DOOM on Nintendo Switch will include all of the game’s DLC and updates, including; Arcade Mode, the classic Doom perspective, the additional difficulty settings and all of the multiplayer DLC maps, weapons and demons. Unfortunately, the Nintendo Switch version of Doom will not feature the SnapMap level editor.
There are currently no details available surrounding the graphics and frame rate of the DOOM port, but it is reasonable to expect a slight graphical downgrade to get the game to run smoothly on the Nintendo Switch.
