Nintendo is celerbating Mario's 35th anniversary, and they are not pulling any pucnhes when it comes to releasing new games for players to enjoy, and celebrate this very speciall occasion by playing some of the most critically acclaimed titles in the Super Mario Bros. series.

A special presentation that focused only on products releasing for the Super Mario Bros. 35th Anniversary was held early last month, where Nintendo took the opportunity to reveal Super Mario Bros. 35, which is their rather unique take on the battle royale genre.

As the name appropriately suggests, Super Mario Bros. 35 is the original Super Mario Bros. game that released for the Nintendo Entertainment System in the mid '80s, albeit with up to 35 players battling their way through each of the games' levels.

The only downside is that Nintendo, for some reason we are still struggling to comprehend, has revealed that Super Mario Bros. 35 will only be available from the Thursday the 1st of October until Wednesday the 31st of March in 2021.

On the plus side, Super Mario Bros. 35 is actually a free download, but it is only available for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers. With all of that said, this still doesn't quite justify the fact that this is still a limited release. We can still hope that Nintendo will eventually release the game for everybody, and the limited time release is only a free offer for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers; only time will tell.

Now that Super Mario Bros. 35 has finally become available today, Nintendo has shared an action-packed trailer that will give players an idea of the chaos that awaits them when they finally get the chance to play it; the same ol' Super Mario Bros. they remember, but against 34 other opponents.

Take a look:

Each player is given the same timed stage, but you must defeat enemies to earn extra time and attack your opponents. Don’t forget to pick up some coins on your way—they can be used to get in-game items like power-ups. With speed, skill, and strategy, you could be the last Mario standing.

Super Mario Bros. 35 will be available for the Nintendo Switch from Thursday the 1st of October until Wednesday the 31st of March, 2021.
