Earlier in December, Nintendo revealed some disappointing news to
Nintendo Switch Online subscribers, as they announced that the wireless Super Nintendo controllers compatible with the SNES app had been sold out; something especially disappointing considering that this happened right before Christmas.
Today, Nintendo has announced that they have restocked their supplies of Super Nintendo controllers, which
Nintendo Switch Online subscribers can now purchase from
Nintendo's official website for $29.99 USD. It is worth mentioning that these are not available for those players who have a Nintendo Switch Online free trial, as it is restricted paid subscribers only.
It is also worth reminding
Nintendo Switch Online subscribers that they can only purchase up to four Super Nintendo Controllers per account, and that in order for the controller to be compatible with their console they need to have their system updated to version 9.0.0 or later.
Nintendo Switch Online members can enjoy a curated library of more than 60 NES™ and Super NES™ classic games—including Super Mario Kart™, Super Metroid™, The Legend of Zelda™: A Link to the Past™, and more. Compete (or cooperate) online with friends, share your screen, or virtually pass the controller, depending on the game.
Nintendo Switch Online is currently available.
