It has been quite a while since we've had any news regarding Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, which isn't too surprising considering that Nintendo has been busy making other video game announcements. The last character to be revealed for the game was ARMS' Min Min as part of the Challenger Pack 6.
Super Smash Bros. series creator Masahiro Sakurai has previously revealed that all of the upcoming fighters that will be introduced in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate have already been selected, so all they have to do is develop them — which is the process that can take the longest.
Some fans believe that the game's Challenger Pack 7 will be announced soon, and they have quite a few good reasons to believe this is the case so, without further ado, let's get right into this.
Twitter user @OnuaUlt has recently spotted an advertisement for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Challenger Pack 6, but what's interesting here is that the ad is scheduled to be removed on Sunday the 4th of October, which has led fans to believe that the reason why the ad is being removed is because the next fighter will be announced either shortly after, or before the specified date.
Now, this is obviously only a theory, but it does make sense that Nintendo could be announcing who the new character is in the coming weeks; after all, Min Min was announced in March and released in June, and the previous fighter was announced and released in January.
Again, it is best to think of this information as nothing but speculation, but it is also very likely that Nintendo will soon be announcing who the mysterious new challenger to join the Super Smash Bros.Ultimate roster is; it's about time they do it any way.
