Nintendo announced back in March that they would be releasing a new
Nintendo Labo VR Kit that allowed players to immerse themselves even more when playing their games on their Nintendo Switch.
Ever since the new
Nintendo Labo Toy-Con 04: VR Kit released, Nintendo has been giving some of their games some free updates that make them compatible with this new kit, such as
Super Mario Odyssey and
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild; although people weren't too crazy about the implementation in the latter, as it appears to be a pretty awful VR experience.
Well, now it's
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's turn to get a free update that makes Nintendo's critically acclaimed crossover fighting game compatible with the
Nintendo Labo VR Kit — which will allow players to play limited, timed, and offline battles in VR. It is also worth mentioning that the free update has been made available
today.
This new VR mode for the game will also allow players to simply have the CPU's fight against each other while they watch and simply enjoy the view — as well as the fight, obviously. Players can also fight against the CPU using the VR mode and make every match even more immersive than before.
