Super Mario Maker 2, the sequel to the acclaimed
Super Mario Maker released on the Nintendo Wii U, is only a mere week away from releasing; bringing with it all of the tools necessary to make some of those hair-pulling, and unforgiving levels for other people to play.
In today's episode of the Nintendo Minute, the crew are joined by
Super Mario Bros. Designer Takashi Tezuka, who will be rating the levels they've created in
Super Mario Maker 2. Tezuka has a long history of designing levels and directing titles in the
Super Mario Bros. series, so he is the right person to rate those levels.
Often considered the unsung hero of the
Super Mario Bros. series, Tezuka has been heavily involved in some of the most iconic titles in the long-running series; considering that he co-directed the first
Super Mario Bros. directed
Super Mario World(deemed by many to be the best game in the 2D line of games), and has even directed
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and
Link's Awakening; most definitely someone worth of respect.
With his presence, however, Tezuka exponentially lightens up the mood of the video — especially keeping in mind that he's still there to judge the levels made by the Nintendo Crew. So, without further ado, be sure to check the video down below — which obviously features even more footage for the soon-to-be-released
Super Mario Maker 2.
In this new game, a sequel to the original Wii U™ game, players can create the Super Mario courses of their dreams, with access to even more tools, items and features, including the new ability to create slopes for the first time.
Super Mario Maker 2 will be available exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on the 28th of June.
