Okami is an action adventure title developed by Clover Studio and published by Capcom, and was originally released in 2006 for the PlayStation 2. The game was later ported to the Wii and would later be ported, in the form of Okami HD, to the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows, and now the Nintendo Switch.

Okami HD was announced for the Nintendo Switch earlier in March during a Nintendo Direct but no official release date was given. As per the announcement, the game would take advantage of the Switch's touch screen, when in handheld mode, making for a more intuitive experience. The game is also taking full advantage of the Joy-Con controls by allowing the player to use motion controls for sumi-e ink drawings, not to mention the beautiful HD graphics.

Now it has been officially revealed by a post on social media that Okami HD for the Nintendo Switch will be coming out on the 9th of August, and players can pre-order the game, right now, on the Nintendo eShop.

Taking full advantage of the Nintendo Switch system’s touch screen on Handheld mode, you can now use your own divine drawing skills to slash enemies in half or bring back life to the land of Nippon. Celestial Brush? More like Celestial Touch!

Okami HD for the Nintendo Switch will release on the 9th of August.
