At its core,
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Breakpoint is a sequel to 2017's
Ghost Recon: Wildlands. While a big chunk of gameplay mechanics from that sandbox shooter will be reused in
Breakpoint, there's one twist that changes the way you will play it: you're no longer the hunter – but the one being hunted.
Breakpoint will start with an earthquake and be followed by rising tension – as ex-Ghost Cole D. Walker, played by
The Punisher's Jon Bernthal, and his goons have successfully managed to occupy the fictional archipelago of Auroa – the home of Skell Technology, a shady company that specializes in AI and drones. With infinite human resources and high-end tech, Walker will be the biggest obstacle the Ghosts have ever faced – killing 3 out of 4 members of the squad – with only Nomad being left alive.
While we definitely will learn more about
Breakpoint during Ubisoft's E3 2019 media briefing – that will be held on Monday, June 10 at 1:00 p.m. PT (10:00AM ET, 7:00AM GMT, 6:00AM on June 11 AEST) – the studio has released the first batch of screenshots for the new Ubisoft Paris-created video game.
