During this year's E3, Bethesda announced
Fallout 76; a brand-new game that was a bit more focused on Online gameplay than players expected, or even wanted. This is when everything began to escalate and Bethesda found themselves being the target of hundreds of displeased fans.
Things didn't get better when
Fallout 76 was released, which was met with mixed to poor reviews from fans an critics alike, not to mention the plethora of bugs that Bethesda didn't care to fix prior to releasing the game.
To top it all off, fans that had purchased the
Fallout 76 Power Armor Edition—which included a Full-Scale Wearable T-51 helmet and a West Tek Canvas Carrying Bag for it, among other things—soon realised that the bag was not what Bethesda promised.
As it turns out, the carrying bag was supposed to be made off canvas but fans got a poor quality nylon bag instead, which of course didn't bode well with customers who were already feeling robbed because of the game itself.
Bethesda has recently addressed this issue and have promised to replace the nylon bags with the proper canvas bag that was initially promised. Customers who purchased the CE will have to submit a ticket by the
31st of January and Bethesda will send them a replacement as soon as the canvas bags become available.
At least bethesda are owning up to their mistake because, with all of the controversy surrounding
Fallout 76 as a game itself, the one thing they don't need right now is more bad press.
Bethesda Game Studios, the award-winning creators of Skyrim and Fallout 4, welcome you to Fallout 76, the online prequel where every surviving human is a real person. Work together, or not, to survive. Under the threat of nuclear annihilation, you’ll experience the largest, most dynamic world ever created in the legendary Fallout universe.
Fallout 76 is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
