Conker's Bad Fur Day is a game developed by Rare and released for the Nintendo 64 in March of 2001; considered to this day to be one of the most out of left field titles from Rare, as well as one of the developers' most controversial games — for all of the good reasons.
Dark humor and adult themes were
Conker's Bad Fur Day main selling points, not to mention the fantastic game design by Rare — which made the game an instant classic upon its release. With the game's massive popularity, one would think that it was bound to get a sequel, but sadly that wasn't the case.
The closest thing the game got to a sequel was a remeastered version in the form of
Conker: Live & Reloaded, which was a graphically enhanced remake of the original
Conker's Bad Fur Day; released as an Xbox console exclusive back in 2005.
As it turns out, Rare did have a a sequel planned, but it never got to see the light of day, but recently some details about this canceled sequel to
Conker's Bad Fur Day have been revealed by Christopher Seavor — Director for the original game — who has shared plot details, concept art, and character descriptions.
According to the notes released by Seavor, this untitled
Conker's Bad Fur Day sequel would've seen the return of the Panther King, and a very different-looking Conker — who now wears an eye patch and has darker fur, looking as miserable as ever in an opening sequence that mirrors the opening and ending of the original game; with Conker sitting on his throne.
Mich like the original
Conker's Bad Fur Day, this sequel would've taken the movie-parody concept up a notch, parodying movies, TV shows, and even video games.
