LawBreakers launched for PlayStation 4 and PC in August 2017 on the wings of Overwatch's success to rather favorable reviews, but the multiplayer shooter has ultimately failed to find an audience, just like Boss Key Production's other title, Radical Heights, that tried to directly compete with Playerunknown's Battlegrounds and Fortnite, and while it was received well, it was too little too late.
In April, Boss Key Productions officially closed its doors with CliffyB announcing that he's focusing on his family and himself. He has suggested that he may return to game developing one day, but it looks like Radical Heights was the last game of his career. Yesterday, Bleszinski responded to claims that he doesn't care about his former employees and Boss Key fans who have been supporting his works.
"I paid my employees, their 401ks, and their health care - even months after the studio folded," Bleszinski explained on Twitter yesterday. "So they could care for their families. I didn't take a salary myself for two years. I get you're sad, but god, this kinda shit is another reason I am NEVER making another game," the designer concluded. It seems like Bleszinski has no desire to deal with angry fans anymore, and it's hardly surprising, as he's also the owner of a successful restaurant.
