From Software, the acclaimed Japanese video game developer that gave us the
King's Field, Armored Core, and
Ninja Blade series, and more recently
Demon's Souls, the
Dark Souls trilogy, PlayStation 4 exclusive
Bloodborne, and PlayStation VR title
Déraciné, is currently working hard on only one officially announced video game -
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, that will be published by Activision in March.
According to FromSoftware President Hidetaka Miyazaki, the company is also developing two yet unannounced projects. “
While it isn’t the time to discuss details, they’re both [From Software]-esque games,” Miyazaki said in an interview with 4Gamer. “
We’ll need a little more time, but we’ll be able to tell everyone more about them once they take shape.” That's all we know about them for sure.
Considering that this month's PlayStation Network leak revealed that 11 million players have checked out
Bloodborne since its release in 2015, there's a big chance that FromSoftware is indeed working on the long-rumored
Bloodborne 2. Other than that, it's hard to guess what the second title might be, as From can choose between at least 5 seemingly forgotten series developed by the studio in the past.
In Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice you are the “one-armed wolf”, a disgraced and disfigured warrior rescued from the brink of death. Bound to protect a young lord who is the descendant of an ancient bloodline, you become the target of many vicious enemies, including the dangerous Ashina clan. When the young lord is captured, nothing will stop you on a perilous quest to regain your honor, not even death itself.
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice will launch on March 22, 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
