Earthfall, a first-person co-op shooter, along the lines of Valve's Left for Dead series, was released yesterday for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC platforms. Created by Seattle-based indie-game developer Holospark, the game drops up to 4 players into a post-apocalyptic world after a meteor brings destruction in the form of an alien invasion to Earth, and they have to see if they can fight, or shoot, their way through the levels of the game.
Here is the official trailer that released at E3 back in June:
Some game features include the ability to build and construct defensive passageways to funnel aliens to turrets and other defensive buildings, and currently has over 20 maps to discover -- broken up into chapters that unravel the mysteries surrounding the game's lore. The game was developed using the
Unreal Engine 4. No news on what they look to include in future updates.
Earthfall is available now for PS4, Xbox One, and PC for
$29.99 USD, but also sells a deluxe edition for $39.99 which includes the 'Hazmat' DLC ($9.99 individually), with new character and gun skins to unlock.
