An increasing number of Nintendo Switch owners have been reporting some issues with their Joy-Con controllers, specifically one that affects the analog stick — which causes the controller to "think" the analog stick is being moved.
Nintendo's solution to this problem, as seen on their official website, is to simply recalibrate the controller via the console's Settings menu; however, this does not solve the problem in the majority of cases.
Because of all the under-the-rug-sweeping by Nintendo, law offices of Chimicles, Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith have taken it upon themselves to open a class action investigation over the infamous Joy-Con analog stick drifting issue; currently asking Nintendo Switch owners to fill out a form, in order to make this issue known to Nintendo.
One of the solutions Nintendo provided was to have the user send in both controllers(even if it is just one with the issue) and they would send a brand-new Joy-Con their way; so they are very aware that this is, indeed, a recurring problem amongst users.
Nintendo better address this issue fast, since even straight-out-of-the-box units seem to come with that defect, and now that they have introduced the Nintendo Switch Lite — a console with the same analog sticks but without the feature to remove the Joy-Cons — the problem may be even more aggravating.
