PlatinumGames is a game developer that has been around for quite soem time now, but it wasn't until recently that the studio self-published one of their own games(The Wonderful 101: Remastered) and it seems that this was only the first of more to come.

President and CEO of PlatinumGames Kenichi Sato has recently shared some news about the studio, and their desire to begin self-publishing their games from now on; encouraged by the overwhelmingly positive reception that The Wonderful 101: Remastered has had.

"We're already thinking about self-published games to come. But don't take that to mean we’re going to stop working with other publishers, too! That will continue as well," revealed Sato on a new entry on PlatinumGames's official blog.

This is great news for players who enjoy the content that PlatinumGames puts out, and The Wonderful 101: Remastered is a great game for players not familiar with the developer to, well, get to know them. Most people may know PlatinumGames through the Bayonetta series, so they probably already know their worth.

In fact, PlatinumGames has already expressed the interest in self-publishing Bayonetta games for other consoles, and this was revealed on the same week The Wonderful 101: Remastered was announced, so they have been planning to self-publish for a while now, and the success of their recently released title has definitely encouraged them to dive deeper into self-publishing.

Back in February of this year, PlatinumGames introduced players to Project G.G. — their very first 100% pure PlatinumGames intellectual property — which is being overseen by none other than renowned director Hideki Kamiya, which is likely to also be their second self-published title. Again, this is very exciting news for both PlatinumGames and players.
