We have both good news and bad news to share as two new Pokémon titles have been launched - obviously the good news - but unfortunately they are only available on the Facebook Gaming platform.

The first game is called Pokémon Tower Battle and it launched worldwide on Monday this week - just in time for everyone to be on break during the holiday season - which foreshadows that the games are likely as addicting as most titles involving the lovable pocket monsters.

The title is developed by Bombay Play and sees players stack creatures against one another in an effort to create the tallest tower. Players are able to discover, catch, and level-up rare Pokémon while competing against friends across a global leaderboard in real-time.

The second title meanwhile, titled Pokémon Medallion Battle, has also been released alongside the first - but at this time it is only available in the Asia-Pacific Region. Created by a completely different developer - GCTurbo - this title is very different in that it is a digital card battle/strategy game - something that should come as a welcome addition to all fans of the franchise once the title goes beyond its inital "soft-launch" mode it is currently in.

Pokémon Medallion Battle allows trainers to collect their favorite creatures in medallion form in order to complete their Pokédex and win gym badges. Players can battle and evolve these creatures, and with new Pokémon being released every month the game promises to keep fans interested with decent replay value - a similar method to what developer Niantic uses with their Pokémon Go mobile game.

Pokémon Company CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara had the following to say in an official statement regarding these new games and the partnership with Facebook Gaming.

“Launching these games through Facebook will allow people all over the world to experience Pokémon in digital form, and we are especially thrilled to collaborate with Facebook Gaming in enabling new audiences to enjoy Pokémon games online."

What do you guys think? Which of these games are you more excited to check out for yourselves? Let us know in the comments below!
