According to a rumor that's been lately doing the rounds, Platinum Games' cancelled Scalebound project could be revived as a Nintendo Switch exclusive. The information comes from Nintendo Soup, who claim to have a few trusted sources that mention the game has already been resurrected.

Scalebound was an Xbox One exclusive title that was initially revealed at the 2014 E3, being finally cancelled in 2017 as Microsoft was no longer willing to publish it; causing director Hideki Kamiya to move on to work on other projects.

Platinum Games and Nintendo have already collaborated in the past to make some Nintendo exclusive content, like Bayonetta 2 being released exclusively for the Wii U and Nintendo Switch, as well as the yet-to-be-released Bayonetta 3 — not to mention the recently announced Astral Chain.

If Scalebound was to be revived, it is very likely that Platinum Games and Kamiya went straight to Nintendo to help them publish the game i nthe same way they help publish Bayonetta 2; a series that no other developer was willing to publish at the time.

Hopefully these rumors are true and Nintendo and Platinum Games have teamed up to bring the Scalebound project back to life . At the time of writing, neither companies have denied or confirmed that they are working together on Scalebound
