For those unaware, Sega has recently been sharing quite the bunch of classic tunes from some of their iconic titles in the long-running(no pun intended)
Sonic the Hedgehog series; rearranged by Tee Lopes and veteran series composer Jun Senoue.
Music in the
Sonic the Hedgehog series has always been outstandingly, and almost absurdly good, which is why remixes are quite popular — even when many agree that the original music is always the superior version — but there are some tunes that could be slightly enhanced; mainly due to these releasing on 8-bit consoles.
Don't get me wrong, music on consoles like the Game Gear was still phenomenal, but it would be great to hear what these songs could've sound like had they been released today, and today Sega has delighted us with an amazing remix — once again rearranged by Tee Lopes and Jun Senoue — of Under Ground Zone from
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for the Game Gear.
