Sonic racing games are making a comeback next year with Team Sonic Racing, which will be releasing for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Steam on the 21st of May. The game will also be introducing an interesting team mechanic that will encourage players to cooperate with their friends to win races.

Much like other titles in the Sonic the Hedgehog series, Team Sonic Racing will be featuring some fantastic, and upbeat  tunes composed by long-time series composer Jun Senoue; who will not only be composing new music for the game but will also remixing a few classic tunes from past titles in the series.

A few weeks ago, Sega revealed 'Market Street' as one of the new stage songs in Team Sonic Racing. Market Street is a remix of Rooftop Run from the somewhat divisive Sonic Unleashed, and is also composed by Jun Senoue alongside Hyper Potions; giving the game a dash of nostalgia that fans will likely appreciate.

Recently, Sega has released yet another stage music for Team Sonic Racing titled 'Whale Lagoon'. This new song is also composed by Jun Senoue, who drew inspiration from Sonic Heroes' wonderful Seaside Hill Zone, although Sega has yet to show us the stage itself but we can already imagine that it will also be inspired by Seaside Hill.
