Since Square Enix announced that they had teamed up with Crystal Dynamics and Marvel Entertainment to develop a game based on the
Avengers, fans of the Earth's Mightiest Heroes got pretty excited — especially since the characters had already been established as household names because of the
Avengers movies' success.
This year's E3, after quite a long wait since the game was announced, Square Enix finally released an official trailer for the game while also revealign that it would be launching on the 15th of May next year; needless to say, some very good news for those who have been anticipating this title.
Since the trailer released during the E3, the developers have been releasing new character and gameplay trailers that even revealed Ms. Marvel as one of the game's main protagonists, as well as sharing some posters for
Marvel's Avengers drawn by some of the artists who work for Marvel Comics.
Today, Marvel Entertainment Vice President Bill Rosemann has shared a brand-new poster that gives us a look at the Avengers, with Ms. Marvel front and centre, produced by Marvel Comics artist Stéphane Perger. Attendees to the Paris Games Week may recognise the poster, as it was featured at the PlayStation booth for
Marvel's Avengers.
Take a look:
Marvel’s Avengers begins at A-Day, where Captain America, Iron Man, the Hulk, Black Widow, and Thor are unveiling a hi-tech Avengers Headquarters in San Francisco — including the reveal of their own helicarrier powered by an experimental energy source. The celebration turns deadly when a catastrophic accident results in massive devastation. Blamed for the tragedy, the Avengers disband. Five years later, with all Super Heroes outlawed and the world in peril, the only hope is to reassemble Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
Marvel's Avengers will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia on the 15th of May in 2020.
