THQ Nordic Is Reportedly Planning To Reveal Two New Entries In "Beloved" Game Series At E3 2019

It looks like THQ Nordic is getting ready to reveal two all-new games set in "beloved universes" at next month's E3 2019 – as the publisher holds the rights to Kingdoms of Amalur, TimeSplitters, and more...

The marketing team at THQ Nordic has reportedly been sending e-mails to some press members, announcing that the publisher is going to announce two secret titles at this year's E3 in Lost Angeles.

According to THQ, one of those games is a “long-awaited return of a galactically beloved game / franchise,” while the other is hailed as “new vision of a beloved game / franchise.” Considering that THQ holds the rights to Saints Row, Dead Island, Darksiders, Metro, Titan Quest, MX vs ATV, Kingdoms of Amalur, Time Splitters, Delta Force, Destroy All Humans, Jagged Alliance, Homefront, Alone in the Dark, Act of War, SpellForce, and Kingdom Come, we won't even try to guess what those games are.

Given that THQ has revived the Darksiders series with Darksiders III to rather mixed results, there's hope that the company has learned some lessons from that title's (mostly technical) shortcomings.

The fact that Sony and PlayStation are officially skipping E3 2019 suggests that there's a big chance that those yet-to-be-announced projects will be showcased at the Microsoft media briefing, that will be held on Sunday, June 9th at 1PM PT, as THQ Nordic won't be hosting their own E3 media briefing.
