Madmind's first major title,
Agony, turned out to be one of the biggest disappointments of 2018, as the game's producers managed to kill an intriguing premise by launching an unfinished, rushed project. One would think that abandoning the condemned project should've been Madmind’s next move, but that couldn't be further from the truth, as the studio has released an unrated version of
Agony.
That's not the only game the Polish studio has been developing as they are also publishing
Unholy - at least according to Madmind, as Duality Games claims that they are not involved in
Unholy's development - that has been in development since 2017 under the
Blood Child codename, giving you a chance to play as Saidah, a despaired and determined mother in search of her abducted child.
It looks like
Paranoid will be the third horror game designed in Poland that will be released in the span of a year. According to Madmind,
Paranoid is a survival-horror game, combining a deep, psychological story with dynamic and brutal gameplay. The game is set in an abounded motel the late 80s, full of frightening, hostile creatures. Unravel the truth about your traumatic past and future down below:
Paranoid is the first-person horror that tells the story of Patrick Calman, who for many years has lived in an apartment he inherited from his deceased parents. The family tragedy from many years ago caused Patrick to struggle with addictions and mental problems. The only member of the Patrick family who remained alive was his sister who disappeared 13 years ago. One day, Patrick answers the phone, as it turns out, from his sister. She announces her arrival - several years after disappearing. The whole event makes Patrick have to overcome his current life in isolation at the expense of the appearance of nightmarish experiences.
Paranoid is set to release on Steam.
