Last week, Boss Key Productions announced that they would be moving away from their answer to Blizzard's
Overwatch, failed LawBreakers, and it looks like Cliff Bleszinski's studio will try this time to directly compete with
Playerunknown's Battlegrounds and
Fortnite, announcing free-to-play shooter
Radical Heights which will be available in
Steam Early Access on April 10, tomorrow.
“Early Access is an incredible opportunity for us to get the core foundation of the game into players’ hands and start building a community almost immediately”, Radical Heights' Steam page reads. “At Boss Key, we have some really unique twists we want to put in the Battle Royale genre, and launching into Early Access allows for us to share those high level ideas with our community quickly. We want to work with our fans to build Radical Heights into the ridiculous sandbox of fun we want it to be. It’s all about community engagement, and once we launch, this game is no longer our game, but our community’s game, and we are ready to mold it together.”
The gaudy game will present Boss Key's version of the 80s-themed future of 2023 and real money can only be spent on cosmetics, letting you to buy even more colorful and weird outfits and there's a $15 Founder's Pack on offer for some exclusive cosmetics. Built from the ground up, Boss Key plans to leave the game in early-access for about a year. Check out first screenshots and the reveal trailer below:
