The Waylanders is a classic group management RPG featuring some of the top-talents who brought well-known titles within the genre like the
Dragon Age, Mass Effect or
Pillars of Eternity sagas. One of them is Mike Laidlaw, former BioWare employee, who was the Creative Director of the
Dragon Age series and wrote classic RPG titles like the first
Mass Effect and sadly forgotten
Jade Empire.
The upcoming title will offer the player 6 main classes, 30 advanced classes, and over 800 skills, and you have many ways to create your hero.
The Waylanders allows you to use two different camera views: isometric and third-person, just like in the aforementioned
Dragon Age series. What's even better, the game is based on the Celtic and Medieval eras and allows you to travel between them!
The locations change a lot depending on which period you are in. According to the press release, "i
n The Waylanders, the scenario doesn't only change 'where you are'. You'll also have to consider 'when you are'." If you're interested and would like to support the Gato Salvaje team, be sure to visit Kickstarter to help the developer reach the $150,000 goal. Check out the latest gameplay trailer below:
