It looks like PC users will finally have a chance to check out this bastard, underappreciated child of Insomniac Games, as The Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) has rated the Insomniac-developed open-world action adventure game. it won't be the first time we hear about the PC version of Sunset, as "Sunset Overdrive PC" popped up on the Korean Game Ratings Board website in May.

Back in 2014, the Xbox One exclusive received generally positive reviews (sitting at a very strong 81% on Metacritic), with praise for its fabulous visuals, traversal system, smart combat system, and funky humor. Unfortunately, Sunset Overdrive has failed to interest players and its sales left a lot to be desired, meaning that we probably won't see a proper Sunset Overdrive sequel anytime soon.

The game was announced at Electronic Entertainment Expo 2013, as one of the very few Xbox One potential system-sellers. Sunset is set in 2027, in a fictional metropolis called Sunset City where humans have turned into mutants after drinking FizzCo's energy drink beverage. While Insomniac recently launched Spider-Man, the studio has stated that Sunset Overdrive 2 is still a possibility.

The city’s overrun with mutants. Problem? Not for you. Sunset Overdrive is an open-world playground of post-apocalyptic possibilities. Vault, grind & wall-run while using a deadly & unconventional arsenal. With hyper-agility, unique weapons, & customizable abilities, it rewrites the rules of shooters while delivering an irreverent adventure.

Sunset Overdrive launched for Xbox One in 2014.
