New World Interactive and Focus Home have announced the new release date of Insurgency: Sandstorm, which is delayed in its planned sale for September and confirms that it will reach PC on December 12th.

Insurgency: Sandstorm is an action video game set in the Middle East, betting on the first-person, committed to realism. The title will offer players a multiplayer and cooperative experience, with an enhanced immersion in the game, which will display complex and highly detailed maps.

In this way, users will enjoy the tactical action of the Insurgency saga, while the combat is unleashed.

"We understand that these improvements mean you have to wait a little longer for the full release; however we feel it is important that we deliver a game that lives up to your high expectations and that Sandstorm can be deemed a true successor to Insurgency. Those of you who have been supporting us during the Pre-order Beta tests will be able to continue playing until the release of the game, and we look forward to more of your feedback," says New World Interactive.

The game will allow us to be part of large-scale battles of 16 against 16 players, where artillery and land attacks will be combined, along with helicopters and drones.

The size of the map, on the other hand, will be adjusted for each game mode (Push, Firefight and Capture the Base, in addition to Checkpoint, Operation and Outpost for Coop), which can be enjoyed in cooperative mode against bots.
