Here's A (Mostly) Promising Update On The Future Of STAR WARS: KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC
It's been rumoured for a while now, but a new report points to a remastered version of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic being a little further along than expected. However, will it ever be released?
It's been a while now since we heard anything about a remake/remaster for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, but a new report may point to good news for fans of the franchise. Well, sort of. Cinelinx claims that one of the biggest hold-ups has been the developers trying to figure out whether the title will be a console exclusive, but a bigger issue could be that EA has decided to focus on the current and next instalment of Star Wars Battlefront after the negative reaction to its initial lack of content.
As a result, some Star Wars games have been scrapped and others have been delayed, but the problem now for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is that the developers simply want to keep "looking forward" to the future rather than going back to past titles, hence why nothing is happening with that long rumoured remaster of the Mass Effect trilogy. So, right about now, you're probably wondering what the good news is, right? Well, the game is apparently finished and ready to go, so that's a plus.
Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean it will ever be released, but if work is definitely finished on this Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remaster, we may see it on consoles sooner than expected.
