This morning has been an exciting one for League Of Legends and Arcane fans alike! Earlier today we got news about the new update that will be coming to the ARAM map, at around the same time we also were shown the abilities and gameplay of the new champion Ambessa. Check out the full run down of her abilities in the video down below:

Passive - Drakehound’s Step
When Ambessa casts an ability, issuing a move or Attack order will cause her to dash after the Ability finishes. Casting an ability also gives Ambessa a charge, which increases her attack range and speed. Attacks consume a charge to deal additional damage and restore Energy.
Q - Cunning Sweep / Sundering Slam
Ambessa sweeps her blades forward in a semi-circle, dealing extra damage to enemies at the edge. If you hit an enemy, it readies Sundering Slam. Recast: Sundering Slam: Ambessa slams down her blades, dealing bonus damage to the first enemy hit.
W - Repudiation
Ambessa gains a shield, braces herself, then slams the ground. If she braces herself from damage by an enemy champion, large monster, or structure, she does more damage with her slam.
E - Lacerate
Ambessa whips her chains in a circle, damaging and briefly slowing enemies. Using Drakehound’s Step will trigger an additional strike.
R - Public Execution
Passive: Ambessa gains Armor Penetration and her Abilities heal her. Active: Ambessa becomes unstoppable and blinks to the farthest enemy champion in a line. She suppresses the target before slamming them for damage and a Stun.
It appears that in the gameplay they want her to be more of a bruiser or maybe even a tank in some cases champion. With her background hailing from Noxus her gameplay most certainly translates that and puts it on the rift. Her kit leaves very little to be desired with how strong it looks. As is typical of most new champion releases she will most likely be changed quite a bit within the first few months of her release. However it is nice to have fresh blood in the mix.
For those who are not aware of the lore of this character or who she is. Ambessa is a brutal Noxian warlord that is featured in the TV series Arcane. She appears in Act 3 of the show and is the mother of one of the shows characters named Mel Medara.
