It's been quite some time since
League of Legends has introduced a new champion, but that'll change tomorrow. Riot Games has taken to its various social media accounts to tease tomorrow's reveal of the mysterious, colorful new champion.
The teaser is a sequence of watercolor painted images featuring other current
League of Legends champions - Darius, Nunu, and Ahri - decked out with feathers, markings, and flowers. The music is calm and zen-like.
The different League of Legends accounts actually have different messages accompanying the teaser. The EU account teases:
"Oh? What was that? Blink and you may miss it..." Meanwhile, the Brazilian account's message translates to
"curious scenes were seen in Summoner's Rift..."
No one knows quite what to make of the new teaser, but that hasn't stopped people from speculating. A popular theory stems from the initials of Darius, Nunu, and Ahri, "D.N.A.", which many interpret to mean that the new champion will have some sort of shapeshifting ability. The teaser does seem to support that theory as it shows two Nunus in one of the image sequences.
Today's teaser comes three months after Riot first hinted at the new champion with a single "colorful" image that featured two flowers.
What does it all mean? We'll find out soon enough, as Riot confirmed
: "tomorrow is when the magic happens." I assume this means the champion will be unveiled tomorrow.
