League of Legends' popular auto-battler mode,
Teamfight Tactics, undergoes a refresh today as "Set 2" officially makes its way into the game.
Dubbed "Rise of the Elements," Set 2 introduces
new champions with new elements (replacing origins) and classes. The same general rules apply to mixing and matching champions on the board for bonus traits, but the effects are completely different than the previous set.
It also slightly tweaks some of the game mode's mechanics with the introduction of Elemental Hexes (Inferno, Ocean, Mountain and Wind). Each Rise of the Elements game will randomly feature one of these elements and imbue a random map hex with a special buff for the champion that starts each round on top of it.
With the arrival of
TFT: Rise of the Elements with
patch 9.22, Riot has released a brand new trailer highlighting some of the new champions, origins, classes and abilities.
Battle for the Convergence with new origins, new champions, and more. Wring power from the elements and discover ever-changing paths to victory—no two games are ever the same . Rise of the Elements goes live on November 6th.
Arriving alongside Set 2 is a new Rise of the Elements rewards pass. By completing in-game missions, you can earn experience and unlock free cosmetic rewards such as chromas, Little Legends, emotes and more.
TFT: Rise of the Elements goes live today, but ranked queues are disabled until patch 9.23.
