SMITE Welcomes Hera As The Newest Addition To The Roster

Developer Hi-Rez Studios' free-to-play third-person battle arena game, Smite, has revealed the newest character to join the roster of playable gods. The Queen of the Gods, Hera, is almost here.

Hi-Rez has announced the new and expected character that will soon join SMITE, it popular battle arena video game. This is Hera, the queen of the gods, who will soon descend from Mount Olympus to join the battle as the 98th character of the MOBA action title.

Hera is defined as the teacher herself, since her own power resides in something more than the simple control of a single element, and extends beyond nature.

Her abilities allow her to bend the will of her enemies, and thanks to this power of persuasion, she manages to fulfill her desires without effort. Along with her loyal champion, Argus, Hera has plans for power and revenge as the world has not seen before.


The Queen of the Gods joins other iconic and well-known gods, such as Zeus, Thor and Anubis, Hera is the latest addition to a cast that includes the god of life and death, Baron Samedi and the Polynesian goddess of fire, Pele.

, Hi-Rez confirms, is "as divine as she is twisted, whole armies will succumb to Hera's will in her struggle to obtain the rightful place in the battlefield of the gods."





SMITE is available for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
