Curse of the Vampire Coast is out now for Total War: Warhammer II, available in both the Vortex and Mortal Empires campaign, along with new free Dark Elf Legendary Lord Lokhir Fellheart. The inclusion of pirate units won't change that Creative Assembly is not planning to add huge naval battles to the core experience anytime soon, as it would be certainly beyond the scope of a simple DLC pack.

The expansion introduces four brand new Legendary Lords and each of them possesses unique abilities and their own ships that are fully upgradable. Curse of the Vampire Coast also introduces new nightmares units, sea-beasts, ghoulish horrors and musket-wielding piratical zombie hordes in battle. The inclusion of The Lore of the Deep magic school allows you to create even more devastating attacks.

While the new heroes have their personal objectives and agendas, they are all united by the expansion's broader mission: to kill a legendary ocean creature and resurrect it to fight for them using a necromantic sea shanty. Even if you don’t plan on grabbing the DLC yet, don’t forget to update your game. That way, you’ll gain access to the Aye-Aye patch that features fifth Legendary Lord - Fellheart.
