As we near closer to the release date of
Pokemon: Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon on November 17, Nintendo has teased us with more information of the new content. New content includes new Z-moves for players to experiment with. In addition, there will be new forms for Pokemon such as the legendaries from the original Sun and Moon. A new Ultra-Beast concept has been added, likeyl to tie in with the new locations and storyline. Even some old legendaries such as Mewtwo are making a comeback in this series. There will definitely be more exciting things in store for us!
Previously, Nintendo had released
Pokemon: Black/White 2 after the originals with the intention of being a sequel. Although
Ultra Sun/Moon are released as a set of two, rather than a sequel they are more similar to the set up of
Crystal, Emerald and
Platinum. The reason for this change is to allow more opportunities to add more new Pokemon, characters, and story variances to the game, according to the director, Kazumasa Iwao. There is definitely more focus on the core of the story rather than dumping an overwhelming amount of features into one, or even having to leave out ideas they'd like to have in the games.
