Publisher Sega has released another overview trailer for Creative Assembly’s
Total War: Three Kingdoms, the time putting the spotlight on the studio's new Extreme Unit Size and UI improvements that will allow you to use more advanced methods for issuing instructions to massive units. According to Sega,
Three Kingdoms will actually feature some of the biggest battles in
Total War's history.
With
Three Kingdoms, the Creative Assembly team is aiming to create a brand new level of complexity, topping all previous
Total War offerings in terms of not only game mechanics, but also sheer scope. To make that ambitious dream come true, the latest
Total War experience has been pushed back from its original reals date (fall 2018) and is now expected to launch this May, exclusively on PC (Steam).
Kingdoms will give you a chance to fight for the supremacy in the Middle Kingdom and meet famous historical figures like Cao Cao and Lü Bu. The title is an indirect adaptation of Luo Guanzhong’s 14th century epic
Romance of the Three Kingdoms, but the real-time strategy game will also feature a special Romance mode that takes the embellishment from the said novel and applies it to the game's generals and narrative, giving characters supernatural abilities and other otherworldly skills.
Be sure to take a closer look at the impressive scope of
Total War: Three Kingdoms down below:
The year is 190CE. China is in turmoil. The Han Dynasty crumbles before the child-emperor. He is but a figurehead, a mere puppet for the tyrant warlord Dong Zhuo. It is a brutal and oppressive regime, and as Dong Zhuo’s power grows, the empire slips further into the cauldron of anarchy.
Total War: Three Kingdoms is coming to PC on May 23rd, 2019.
