The first trailer from the West World Online team after its announcement was zealously hyped due to its similar look to
Red Dead Redemption. Last year, a supposed leaked screenshot from
Red Dead Redemption 2 surfaced online and it turned out that it wasn't from Rockstar Games' coveted new open-world adventure, but was actually from a "brand new" MMO called
Wild West Online.
The mysterious game will soon be ready for launch on Steam after a few months of exclusive availability on developer WWO Partners’ website.
Wild West Online has been available in paid early access since November last year, and you can still buy your way into it through the official site. In fact, doing so now will also get you your own Steam key when it launches on Valve's platform on May 10.
Players can pledge allegiance to one of two rival factions, with the goal of capturing territory to gain supplies. “
Wild West Online has utilised community feedback to expand its features and gameplay in order to create a compelling western experience for its official launch on Steam,” say developers from 612 Games. Be sure to check out the latest artwork and trailer from

How you play the game and how you interact with other players is up to you! WWO's diverse dynamic gameplay systems accommodate a variety of different play styles and moral dispositions. Want to be a prospector and mine for gold? Mine away! But be ready to fend off those who would rather let you do all the hard work then try to steal your riches. Of course, if you're a little wet behind the ears in a gunfight, you could always hire a hardened gunslinger to protect you. Do you want to lie, cheat, rob, murder and carouse your way across the West. You bet you do, outlaw! But watch your back, some players will choose to stay on the right side of the law and become Deputies and Bounty Hunters. These frontier lawmen (and women) are charged with hunting you down and brining you in — dead or alive.
