A New MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS Game Has Been Rated For PS4
With the Power Rangers resurgence underway, it sounds like there may also be a new video game based on the original series heading to stores in the not-so-distant future. Come take a look!
Gematsu has discovered a new rating on The Pan European Game Information Board for a game titled: "Saban's Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Mega Battle" for Sony's Playstation 4. Further details were unavailable and the listing was quickly removed post-discovery, but Bandai Namco was listed as the game's publisher.
With a new movie out next March, it shouldn't be too surprising that a new game is also in development, but what's interesting is that the title of the rumored game strongly suggests it won't be based on the upcoming movie. So, if this report pans out, this would be the first Power Rangers video game based on the original Mighty Morphin series since the wildly popular 1994 Sega game, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, and its 1995 semi-sequel, which was based on Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie. In recent years, Bandai Namco has shifted their focus to some of the more recent seasons, with their last release being Saban's Power Rangers: Super Megaforce for the Nintendo 3DS back in 2014.
