ATELIER RYZA 2 LOST LEGENDS & THE SECRET FAIRY: New Videos Showcase A Ton Of New Features Including Photo Mode

The highly anticipated release of Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & The Secret Fairy is almost over and a couple of new trailers have released showcasing the game's new features. Check it out after the jump!

The Atelier Ryza franchise may still be young, with its first sequel due out this January, but the RPG title offers a lot of promise in terms of style and exploration. The sequel, Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & The Secret Fairy, is being developed by Koei Tecmo and Gust, the same team behind the Fairy Tail RPG, and promises to add another sprawling mystery to the world and characters.

The sequel to Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout has promised to grow for its latest installment in terms of gameplay and features, and while certain updates have changed the way the game will be released on certain consoles since the PS5 version will now only be digital, it has no diminished the quality of the game in any way.

With the release coming in January, a new trailer has been released in both English and Japanese that shows off some of the gameplay features that will be available in the game. Some of the features even include a photo mode and the opportunity to care for a personal Puni companion.

A lot is coming to the new title, and while the trailers can only cover so much, it will be exciting to see what else there will be to discover on launch day. We would love to hear your thoughts on the new additions to the game in the comments below!

Throughout her journey, Ryza will once again be joined by her fun-loving group of mischievous friends. The first of these old companions confirmed for Ryza 2 is Klaudia. The only daughter of a merchant family, Klaudia has been working in the Royal Capital, but all the while, thinking back to the adventure she had with Ryza three years prior. Klaudia still has the desire to live a more exciting life, and now finds her fate once again intertwined with Ryza as they regroup inside the Royal Capital. Also joining Ryza this time around is a mysterious creature known as Fi. The creature doesn't speak, but is very expressive and full of emotion, bonding quickly with Ryza while helping her seek answers to the true meaning of the lost legends.

Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & The Secret Fairy is coming to the PS4, PS5, Switch, and PC on January 26th in North America and 29th in Europe!
