It's becoming difficult to keep track of the amount of times a member of the game's crew or a store listing has stated that Death Stranding will be releasing this year, but nevertheless, here's another one to add to the heap.
The highly-anticipated game has been without a confirmed release date since its very announcement during Sony's E3 2016 conference. Since then, as mentioned, many sources have stated that it will release at some point during 2019. Stars, Norman Reedus and Troy Baker, and even the game's director, Hideo Kojima, have either hinted at or flat-out stated that the game will be dropping this year.
Similar to this new piece of evidence, Walmart once stated that the game will release this year, even going as precise as to state the month of release - that being June. Now Best Buy have thrown their hat into the ring. While the store is without physical copies of the game, it does feature placeholder cards which allow you to pre-order one. The cards specific to Death Stranding state "Available 2019".
